Malwarebytes lifetime key ebay1/22/2024 ![]() ![]() Though everyone might not agree on cats’ perfection, felines are among the most popular pets in the world today, with as many as 74 million cats living in U.S. ![]() “I think that there was no need to subject cats to such a selection process since it was not necessary to change them,” Geigl says. Dogs were selected to perform specific tasks-which never was the case for cats-and this selection for particular traits is what led to dogs’ diversification to the many breeds we see today. This is in contrast to dogs, the first animals to be domesticated, Geigl adds. (See " Our Most Stunning Pictures of Big Cats.") Domestic cats look similar to wildcats, but they aren’t solitary, tolerating both humans and other cats. ![]() Overall, cats became a domesticated companion of humans without changing much, says evolutionary geneticist and article coauthor Eva-Maria Geigl. It was only in the 18th century, however, that the markings became common enough to be associated with domestic cats, and in the 19th century, cat fanciers began selecting cats with particular traits to create fancy breeds. The gene for a tabby coat dates back to the Ottoman Empire in Southwest Asia and later became common in Europe and Africa. ![]() The study sheds light on the late emergence of the blotched or striped coat markings, which began to appear in domesticated tabby cats in the Middle Ages. Surprisingly, wild and domestic cats showed no major differences in their genetic makeup, and one of the few traits available for telling them apart was the tabby coat marking. Tabby Takeoverīy comparing the DNA of cats throughout history, the study captures a glimpse of how the animals were changing even before humans started to cart them across the globe, Ottoni says. The results suggest that prehistoric human populations probably began carrying their cats along ancient land and sea trade routes to control rodents. This Egyptian cat probably had behaviors that made it attractive to humans, such as sociability and tameness. However, one resident has made it her mission to look after Jerusalem's strays and give them the best life possible.Ī second lineage, consisting of African cats that dominated Egypt, spread into the Mediterranean and most of the Old World beginning around 1500 B.C. (Also see “ Surprising Things You Never Knew About Your Cat.”)Ĭat overpopulation threatens the well-being of felines in the Old City of Jerusalem, leaving them susceptible to disease, neglect, and starvation. Instead, people more or less allowed cats to domesticate themselves. “It’s not that humans took some cats and put them inside cages,” he says. “This is probably how the first encounter between humans and cats occurred,” says study coauthor Claudio Ottoni of the University of Leuven. Cats likely followed the rodent populations and, in turn, frequently approached the human settlements. Mice and rats were attracted to crops and other agricultural byproducts being produced by human civilizations. (See little-known small cats in “ Out of the Shadows, the Wildcats You’ve Never Seen.”) The cats likely started hanging around farming communities in the Fertile Crescent about 8,000 years ago, where they settled into a mutually beneficial relationship as humans’ rodent patrol. The earlier ancestors of today’s domestic cats spread from southwest Asia and into Europe as early as 4400 B.C. ![]()

Im sorry about your loss1/22/2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() With that in mind, I do have a practice I call “3Rs. Speaking of normal, there is no “normal”. Allow yourself as much time as is necessary, or as you want, to get stronger before getting back to “normal”.Ģ. My first thought comes from my Wingdog, Monte. He taught me that when you’re hurt and in pain it’s ok to go off by yourself and lick your wounds. Some are from the experts, along with one from me, one from a good friend nine months into a similar experience, and one from my wife, Jan. I am not a grief counselor, nor have I experienced your specific pain, but I have experienced pain and when I do, I do many different practices to help relieve it. It’s just getting out of one car, and into another.”Īs for any practices, or things you can do to help you through your pain. I don’t know when, or how, or even what the configuration might be, but I feel certain we all meet up with our loved ones over and over a s we travel through eternity.Īs John Lennon said, “”I’m not afraid of death because I don’t believe in it. I believe we are all eternal beings and you will be with your son once again. So that’s what I did and it is included below.Īs for my thoughts, they’re simple. I’ve been struggling with what to write to you and I decided it might be best to do a FB live video for you, without using your name of course. I am so sorry for your loss. You honor me by asking if I have any videos, or thoughts and practices at this most challenging time.Īs if there might actually be a practice that could dissolve your pain… If you do not, could you enlighten us with your thoughts on this? It would be most appreciated if you could and if you’re not able to I would totally understand. As you probably do know, i respect your opinion so much, and I feel a little apprehensive in asking but I’ll do it anyway… Do you have any past wingman videos on death and dying, especially child related., as a child’s death is just not natural. “Good afternoon Michael, Im not sure if you were aware but my oldest son entered into eternity a little over 3 weeks ago, very unexpectedly…so, I’m in that stage of a shattered being right now…the days seem long and sometimes I don’t see a whole lot of what this so called life is really all about. I received this heartbreaking email from a friend and wanted to share my response in the hope that it might help you, or someone you know, experiencing a difficult loss. ![]()

Half tarzan half gorilla drawing1/22/2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() Porter and Jane are excited to mingle with the gorillas, but Kerchak returns and attacks the humans on sight. Tarzan agrees, and leads the trio to the nesting grounds while Terk and Tantor lure Kerchak away. Clayton convinces Tarzan that Jane will stay with him forever as long as he leads them to the gorillas. Jane asks Tarzan to return with them to England, but Tarzan, in turn, asks Jane to stay with him when Jane says it is unlikely that they will ever return. The explorers' ship soon returns to retrieve them. Tarzan and Jane begin to fall in love however, she has difficulty convincing Tarzan to lead the humans to the gorillas, as Tarzan fears Kerchak's fury. Porter, Clayton, and Jane teach him how to speak English properly, and tell him what the human world is like. Despite Kerchak's warnings to avoid the humans, Tarzan repeatedly returns to the camp. Jane leads Tarzan back to their camp, where Porter and Clayton both take interest in him the former in terms of scientific progress, while the latter hopes to have Tarzan lead the group to the gorillas. After comparing her to himself, he realizes they are similar. Jane accidentally becomes separated from the group and is chased by a baboon troop, until Tarzan rescues her out of sheer curiosity. Porter, his daughter Jane, and their hunter escort Clayton, are looking to study the gorillas. Meanwhile, a team of human explorers from England, consisting of Professor Archimedes Q. As an adult, Tarzan manages to kill Sabor with a spear, gaining Kerchak's reluctant approval. Tarzan finds himself treated differently because of his different physique, so he makes valiant efforts to improve himself. Years later, the adopted human, named Tarzan, begins to befriend other animals, including Kala's niece Terk and the paranoid elephant Tantor. Kala finds the human infant and after saving him from Sabor, she adopts the human infant, despite Kerchak's objections. Kala and Kerchak, the leaders of a troop of gorillas, lose their infant son to Sabor. The adults build a treehouse but are killed by Sabor, a villainous leopard. In the late 1880s, a British couple and their infant son are shipwrecked in Equatorial Africa. The film has led to many derived works, such as a Broadway adaptation, a television series, and two direct-to-video followups, Tarzan & Jane (2002) and Tarzan II (2005). ![]() It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song (" You'll Be in My Heart" by Phil Collins). Against a production budget of $130 million (then the most expensive traditionally animated film ever made until Treasure Planet in 2002), the film grossed $448.2 million worldwide, becoming the fifth highest-grossing film of 1999, the second highest-grossing animated film of 1999 behind Toy Story 2, and the first Disney animated feature to open at first place at the North American box office since Pocahontas (1995). It received positive reviews from critics, who praised its voice performances, music, animation, and action sequences. Tarzan premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on June 12, 1999, and was released in the United States on June 16. The animation of the film combines 2D hand-drawn animation with the extensive use of computer-generated imagery, and it was done in California, Orlando, and Paris, with the pioneering computer animation software system Deep Canvas being predominantly used to create three-dimensional backgrounds. Meanwhile, the production team embarked on a research trip to Uganda and Kenya to study the gorillas. English recording artist Phil Collins was recruited to compose and record songs integrated with a score by Mark Mancina. Following Murphy's first draft, Tzudiker, White, and Dave Reynolds were brought in to reconstruct the third act and add additional material to the screenplay. Pre-production of Tarzan began in 1995, with Lima selected as director and Buck joining him the same year. The film stars the voices of Tony Goldwyn, Minnie Driver, Glenn Close, Rosie O'Donnell, Brian Blessed, Lance Henriksen, Wayne Knight, and Nigel Hawthorne. The film was directed by Kevin Lima and Chris Buck (in his feature directorial debut) and produced by Bonnie Arnold from a screenplay by Tab Murphy, Bob Tzudiker, and Noni White. The 37th film produced by the studio, and the tenth and final released during the Disney Renaissance era, it is based on the 1912 story Tarzan of the Apes by Edgar Rice Burroughs, being the first animated major motion picture version of the story. Tarzan is a 1999 American animated adventure film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. ![]()

Matplotlib scatter label points1/22/2024 ![]() This way, we can use the plot to visually depict a third variable or category. ![]() Use the scatter function in Matplotlib and the c parameter to pass in the x and y data and a list of colours to produce a scatter plot. Moreover, the user may add labels, captions, and legends to the plot to offer context and details about the data. We can learn more about the connections between variables and spot any intriguing trends or patterns by examining the plot that results. The colour of each marker in a scatter plot is specified by the c parameter of Matplotlib's scatter function. Depending on how the user wishes to relate the colours to the data, it can take various forms. The scatter plot's markers will all have the same colour if the c parameter is passed a single-colour string or a tuple of RGBA values. For instance, a scatter plot with blue markers would be produced if c='blue' or c=(0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0). ![]() Syntax import matplotlib.pyplot as pltĭata that will be plotted on the x and y axes are denoted by the letters x and y. c parameter defines the marker's shade of colour. The cmap argument can map this to a colormap as a single colour, a series of colours, or a series of values. In this example, we create a scatter plot with several colours. We supply a colour for each point in the colours list and the coordinates for each point in the x and y lists. These lists are then passed to the scatter() method, where the colour for each point is specified by setting c=colors. Plt.title('Scatter plot with Multiple Colours!') # Create a scatter plot with multiple colors Lastly, we display the plot using plt.show() and add labels and a title using plt.xlabel(), plt.ylabel(), and plt.title(). In this example, we use Matplotlib to make a scatter plot with many colours. We import Matplotlib and NumPy, two required libraries. Then, we use the NumPy rand function to produce some random x and y data and a list of random colours for each point in the scatter plot. ![]() The scatter function is then used to construct a scatter plot with various colours using the x, y, and c parameters. The c option specifies the list of colours to be used for each point. The mapping between the colour values and their associated values is then displayed by adding a colour bar using the color bar function. This can help decipher the significance of the colours used in the story. Lastly, we use the xlabel, ylabel, and title methods to add labels and a title to the plot. This can aid in supplying context and details about the data that is being plotted. ![]()

Heart stress test1/21/2024 ![]() ![]() Stress echocardiography (“stress echo”) measures how well the heart pumps before and after exercise during a cardiac stress test.It can also evaluate damage after a heart attack, heart failure, and valve disease.Įchocardiograms are very versatile, and we apply them in multiple ways, such as: When you might need it: If you have symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath. It can determine the presence of weak heart function or damaged valves and can be done several times over the course of years to measure the effectiveness of treatments. What it shows: Changes in heart size pumping strength damage to the heart muscle valve problems and congenital heart defects. Small electrode patches are attached to your chest to simultaneously detect the heart rhythm while a sonographer moves a transducer back and forth along the chest to record the ultrasound pictures. An “echo” utilizes the same safe technology that is used to see a baby during pregnancy. What it is: A cornerstone of imaging technology, an echocardiogram – also called transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) – uses sound waves to create moving pictures of your heart’s chambers, valves, and walls. We use different imaging tools to evaluate each of the four systems, and often we’ll use more than one test – or what’s called multimodality imaging – to zero in on a problem that may involve multiple systems of the heart. Electric wires, which tell the heart when to squeeze: Cells carrying an electrical signal trigger your heart to pump at a normal, regular rhythm. If the blockages are severe, patients can experience chest pain during activity because the heart muscle doesn’t get enough blood.Ĥ. Atherosclerosis, or “hardening” of the arteries, occurs when coronary arteries narrow due to the buildup of cholesterol plaques. Pipes, which carry oxygen rich blood to the heart muscle: The heart’s plumbing, or coronary arteries, delivers oxygen rich blood to the heart muscle so it can continue doing its pumping work. Valves, which control blood flow to the main chambers of the heart: Four valves open and close to ensure blood flows properly in one direction.ģ. The left side pumps the oxygen-rich blood back out to fuel the body.Ģ. Pumps, which send blood to the body: The right side of your heart receives blood and pumps it to your lungs, where the blood picks up oxygen. This is how I typically describe them to my patients:ġ. Heart 101: Pumps, valves, pipes, and electric wiresĬardiac imaging helps us look more closely at the four systems of the heart, which are all interconnected. Your doctor will recommend which tests, if any, are right for you based on your current health and symptoms. The choice of test is individualized, of course. With so many options available, and new imaging enhancements in development, patients can feel overwhelmed by “all the tests.” So, we thought it would be helpful to provide a quick overview of cardiac imaging, from the fundamental to the highly specialized, and explain how each test can help our patients avoid or overcome heart disease. Our team also utilizes advanced imaging techniques, such as cardiac CT and cardiac MRI to create detailed, cross-sectional views of the heart and help diagnose complex or rare disorders. An echocardiogram uses ultrasound waves to create moving pictures of your heart’s chambers, valves, and walls.A stress test assesses blood flow to the heart muscle during rest and exercise. An electrocardiogram (EKG) records electrical signals in your heart.“Seeing” it in action is an essential part of evaluating, diagnosing, and treating potential cardiovascular conditions.Īt UT Southwestern, we use an evolving suite of sophisticated cardiac imaging tests, ranging from echocardiograms to cardiac MRIs, to create a clear picture of your current heart health and where it’s headed in the future.īecause the heart is also a highly complex organ, we can use different imaging tools to assess its many functions. Your heart is one of the hardest working organs in the body – beating once per second or about 3 billion times in the average person’s lifetime. ![]()

Fs17 conveyor belt1/21/2024 ![]() ![]() The Horizontal Belt is typically installed in the middle of a Conveyor Belt system, between the start and end points. It is used to automatically move materials between two distant points. ![]() This piece consists of two long conveyor belts, which can be stretched out to well over a dozen meters. This schematic shows the operation of a Grimme TC 80-16 Horizontal Belt, with its parts fully extended and slightly angled.Ī Horizontal Belt, as its name implies, is designed to move materials across a considerable distance horizontally. It is not tall enough to go over the side of a Tipper, but it might be able to dump materials into a very small Sowing Machine or similar tool.Ī Pickup Belt can be ordered to "Unload Here" Conveyor Belt: Unload Here Default Buttons: L.Ctrl + I ? - but there is not much point in doing so. The output end of the Pickup Belt is not very high off the ground - just high enough to dump materials onto another belt piece. The Pickup Belt continues to lift more and more materials as long as it has anything to dump them onto (e.g. When it finds a pile within that area, the Pickup Belt will constantly suck in materials from that pile, move them up the ramp, and dump them over the edge. The Pickup Belt automatically scans for any Piles within a large area in front of the input end (the end that's touching the ground). Materials travel up this ramp and fall over into the next conveyor belt piece in the system. The Pickup Belt itself is a short ramp: One end of the belt touches the ground, and then it climbs up a short distance in the air before coming to an abrupt stop. The purpose of a Pickup Belt is to pick materials up from a Pile on the ground, and move them up onto the next belt in the system. This schematic shows the pickup zone and operation of a Lizard S-710 Pickup Belt. The system may contain any combination of these three piece types, depending on what purpose the conveyor system has been set up for, as explained in the next chapter. Each type of belt performs a completely different function as part of a combined Conveyor Belt system. Nonetheless, Conveyor Belts in general are in competition with Loaders for the task of moving loose cargo around.Ĭonveyor Belts come in three distinct varieties: Pickup Belts, Horizontal Belts, and Vertical Belts. Since each piece performs a completely different function along the belt system, they are not in competition with one another at all. Most pieces can be adjusted in various ways in order to connect them to one another and to precisely dump the cargo wherever it's needed.įarming Simulator 17 offers 3 different Conveyor Belt models - one from each of the three categories listed above. Any Conveyor Belt piece will dump its cargo into a receptacle if one is detected at the end of the belt, and can also be instructed to dump its cargo on the ground to create a new Pile.Įach Conveyor Belt piece can also be driven (at a very slow speed and low maneuverability) to adjust its position. They will always travel in a given direction, and will automatically continue from piece to piece, if the pieces are set up correctly. Materials can be dumped onto Conveyor Belts in a variety of ways. It all depends on what you're trying to accomplish with the particular Conveyor Belt system that you are setting up. ![]() None of the three pieces are mandatory - a conveyor system can work with any combination of any of the three groups, and you can connect multiple pieces from a single group together, if you need to. A Vertical Belt piece can raise the materials far above the ground, e.g.A Horizontal Belt piece can move that material a long distance from the starting point, or even around corners.A Pickup Belt piece can lift materials from Piles on the ground onto the conveyor system.Conveyor Belts are tricky to set up, and are not very mobile, but once set up they are extremely easy to use.Ī Conveyor Belt system is set up by connecting together up to three different types of "pieces": A Conveyor Belt system is a good alternative to using a Loader, particularly for loading cargo into a Container. Conveyor Belts are a new category of tools in Farming Simulator 17, whose purpose is to shift Piles of material from point A to point B along a series of moving belts. ![]() |
